Not the worst but pretty shabby - stay only if you have to.

Let's face it, Atsugi is a miserable hole of a city anyway and you would only go there if you had to, so not expecting much. The hotel is clean enough but really dated and quite musty smelling. Very tired/tatty room and bathroom. Probably been in need of a refurbishment for well over a decade. The offerings at breakfast are a bit depressing (save the money and walk 2 minutes to Aeon or somewhere else nearby for breakfast). We were only allowed one room key. Asked for a second but was refused! First time ever in the world we've been told we can't have a second room key. Decided to take the stairs one time from the 10th floor. The stairway was full of upended beds, mattresses and other furniture. That must be illegal and or a fire/evaluation hazard. Just as well Japan never has earthquakes!
